In November Flying Mission Zambia threw a great party to celebrate 10 years of flying in Southern Africa. 500 people turned up to join in, reflecting the varioius stages of growth of FMZ, and they said that it was a lot of fun.
The founder of Flying Mission in Botswana, Malcolm McArthur, was there from UK to help the party along, together with choirs from the community groups and a church choir.
Board personnel, neighbours, mission partners, staff families – all were there to affirm the mission and appreciate what God has done.
We hope that these pictures go some way to capturing the spirit of the event…. of joy, and gratitude to our faithful God for His provision and enabling over ten years of ministry.
Although there were many special moments for visitors (in particular the short flights that were offered to many who had never flown before), one family went home especially blessed. They won a generator in the raffle and the young lad who had the winning ticket was convinced he would get it. What a delight for them in this land of major power cuts.
And thanks to the various organisations who donated such nice prizes to add to the excitement of the day.
