Recently, Andy Kradolpher’s helicopter maintenance experience came in handy when, on a normal Flying Mission Zambia passenger flight, the pilot/mechanic was able to help fix a former FMZ Board member’s helicopter.
This helicopter is located 200 miles away from civilization and 1300 miles from the nearest helicopter service centre. In conjunction with that centre, we could help him save money and time.
Now, you are probably asking what a tourism helicopter has to do with missions? Tourism in this remote area finances schools, clinics, and even a hospital for people removed from civilization. FMZ is helping the hospital directly with technical support. This time, we were able to fix the helicopter that enables tourism, which in turn supports their way of life with basic requirements of education and welfare.
Our technical support in the background enables and multiplies the effectiveness of others at the forefront.
